Side Shade you ask? What in the world is that? Good question. In some instances an overhead awning, sunshade, or retractable doesn’t quite do the trick. Perhaps that late afternoon sun hits your patio, your kitchen window, or your outdoor dining space blinding you and your guests. When you need coverage from the sun as it sets low on the horizon you need a “side shade”.

When completely retracted the side shade rolls into a box protecting the awning fabric for years of use. The roller can be mounted to most walls, posts, or even ceilings. These awnings can project as much as 12 feet from their mounting point. Want less projection? Simply pull the shade out as much or as little as you’d like. The fabric can be made between 3’11”-6’6” wide depending on how much protection you need. Different fabric colors and patterns are available.

The side shade is a manually operated device, meaning there is no need for electricity or a motor. Simply pull the shade out when you need it and then retract it when you don’t. The handle set up is adjustable depending on your preference.
